Money Matters

Penn State has two offices that assist students with paying their college bills and with seeking scholarships and other forms of financial aid. The Office of the Bursar is responsible for tuition billing, acceptance fees, charges, payments, financial aid disbursements, and refunds of excess funds. Parents/Others can now access the financial information in a student's account with the student's authorization. Go to eLion and select the "Parent/Other" category for more information.

The Office of Student Aid provides resources to assist students in applying for aid – and loans and scholarships are not the only aid options available to students. See the Student Aid web site to get more information about work-study programs, grants, and other financial resources.

Loans

Many Penn State students borrow money to help finance their educational costs. This step-by-step guide to borrowing outlines the loan options available to students and their parents.

Scholarships

A variety of private organizations and Penn State units fund scholarships for students who excel. Search eligibility requirements and find out what you need to do to apply.
