Penn State intercollegiate athletic teams at University Park have claimed 62 national championships, including NCAA titles by the fencing and men's gymnastics teams. As a member of the Big Ten Conference since 1990, Penn State has captured 40 conference championships and 10 tournament titles, including a league record five championships.

The PSUAC provides intercollegiate athletic opportunities and competitive experiences to over 1,350 student-athletes in ten sports at 14 Penn State campuses or Penn State affiliated entities. In addition to competing for a PSUAC title, members aspire to compete for a national title in the USCAA.
